专利说明:
It has been found that a device of the type mentioned can be used with great success for the treatment of many disease states and injuries, for example sports injuries, stretching, muscle pain, joint pain, headaches, various inflammatory conditions, various skin conditions such as acne, back pain, etc., provided that the candles were emitted in a certain way. In this case, the light treatment has a favorable effect on the healing process for injuries and it relieves and / or cures various diseases. The device has also been used with great success for special treatment, for example for diabetic foot ulcers and in elderly care and further in aesthetics and equestrian sports. There is thus an insight that light treatment by emitting certain light in certain frequency series gives a significantly increased effect in the form of shortening the time for a disease to cure or alleviate a disease. Since the light treatment is assumed to have an effect already at the cellular level, it is desirable to use a dynamic light image and that the entire area of the body to be treated receives an equal amount of light over time. A problem with light treatment is that not all persons or animals being treated respond in the same way to certain parameters, such as pulse frequencies when emitting pulsating light, which is probably due to the fact that each individual is unique. It has thus been shown that a change in various parameters can give better treatment results for certain individuals. However, it is difficult to know how to set the parameters to better suit a particular individual. The present invention solves this problem. The present invention thus relates to a device for medical treatment externally by means of light comprising a light emitting means arranged to abut against or held close to the body of an individual and a drive device for the light emitting means, which light emitting means comprises LEDs or the like, which LEDs are arranged to emit light in different wavelength ranges, the drive device being arranged to control the light emitting means to emit light of one or more wavelengths for one or more predetermined times and arranged to pulsate said light, which light emitting means comprises a housing and an LED plate carrying the LEDs, the LEDs being arranged at said plate so that there is a certain distance between two adjacent LEDs and where the device is arranged to emit light according to two or more series with increasing pulse frequencies F1, F2, Fn. , where F1 is a fundamental frequency and where F2 and Fn are multiples of the fundamental frequency and are characterized in that the device is arranged to emit a pulse repetition frequency which varies around the respective frequencies F1, F2 and Fn. An embodiment of the invention is described below, partly with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which - figure 1 schematically shows a block diagram of a device according to the invention, - figure 2 shows a light emitting member according to the invention in a side view. Figure 1 generally shows a device for medical external treatment by means of light comprising a light emitting means 1 arranged to abut or be held close to the body of an individual. The light emitting means comprises a housing 1 provided with a transparent disc 2. Under this disc 2 inside the housing there are a number of LEDs 3, 4, see figure 1. The LEDs 3, 4 are arranged to emit light through the disc 3 when they is supplied with power via a cable 7. In use, the housing 1 is held so that the disc 2 abuts or near the relevant body part of, for example, a person to be treated. This may be, for example, a special injury. Furthermore, the device comprises a drive device 9, 10 for the light emitting means, see the block diagram in figure 1, where also the light emitting means 1 is shown from below. The drive device is arranged to control the light emitting means 1 to emit different monochromatic lights of different wavelengths and pulsing according to a predetermined pulse frequency or series of pulse frequencies. The light emitting means 1 comprises LEDs 3, 4 arranged to emit a substantially monochromatic visible light in any of the colors violet, blue, yellow, orange, red or green as well as infrared and other invisible wavelengths. Which of these candles to use depends on the disease or type of injury to be treated. The light emitting means 1 may comprise a type of LEDs 3, which are arranged to emit, for example, infrared light. These are marked with filled circles in Figure 1. Visible light can be emitted by means of other LEDs 4, which are marked with unfilled circles in Figure 1. The LEDs for infrared light and visible light, respectively, are preferably semiconductors of the GaAs type (Gallium arsenide). The LEDs can also be arranged to emit light with other wavelengths. Thus, the light emitting means 1 may comprise LEDs arranged to emit a substantially monochromatic visible light in any of the colors violet, blue, yellow, orange, red or green as well as infrared and other invisible wavelengths. The drive device for the light emitting means comprises in a known manner a computer 8 for controlling the drive circuits 9, 10, which drive circuits are supplied with signals from the computer for in turn driving the LEDs via the conductor 7. A keyboard 13 is connected to the drive device or computer, by means of which the operator can enter data to thereby control the drive device to control the light emitting means in the desired manner. Conveniently, there is also a display 14 for displaying the settings made by means of the keyboard 13. According to the invention, the device is arranged to emit a pulse repetition frequency, F2 and Fn. which varies around the respective frequency F1. The light pulses are preferably square pulses. As a result, for each pulse repetition frequency with its variation, certain frequencies will suit certain individuals, while certain other pulse repetition frequencies will suit other individuals, at the same time as all pulse repetition frequencies affect essentially all individuals to an effective, but different degree. Preferably, a series of frequencies is transmitted, after which a number of additional series with the same frequencies and starting from the frequency F1 are transmitted. According to a preferred embodiment, said variation is between 1% and 10% of the respective frequency. According to another preferred embodiment, the device is arranged so that the fundamental frequency F1 is the fundamental frequency according to Schumann resonances. Schumann resonances are extremely low frequencies of the earth's electromagnetic fields. Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic resonances, which arise through lightning excited in the cavity formed by the earth's surface and ionisphere. As an example, a series for wound healing may be F1 = 12Hz +/- 1 Hz, F2 = 24 Hz +/- 2 Hz, F3 72 Hz +/- 4 Hz, F5 = 780 Hz +/- 176 Hz, F6 = 8556 + / - 32 Hz and F7 = 9900 Hz +/- 64 Hz. It is preferred that the device is arranged to first emit infrared light for a predetermined first time and then visible red light for a second predetermined time. A number of embodiments have been described above. However, the design of the light emitting device can be varied, as well as said variation. The present invention is, therefore, not to be construed as limited to the above embodiments, but may be varied within the scope of the appended claims.
